Client context
Who we worked with
Artem Straps sells premium watch straps. Its strap product pages get about 7,500 visitors a week, and every strap page runs on one shared template.
Order data showed the Deployant Clasp was bought together with straps 2,448 times, worth $195K in revenue.
The problem
What was holding conversions back
The clasp was already offered as a cross-sell, but it sat below the add to cart button. Most shoppers decide before they scroll that far, so the strongest add-on in the catalog was easy to miss.
Competitors were already selling bundles on their product pages: Barton with Bundle and Save plus 20% off 3 or more bands, and Rubber B with Buy 2 Get 10% Off.
Hypothesis
What we expected to happen
If we move the clasp into a bundle block above add to cart, pre-check it and show the saving in dollars, more shoppers will buy the pair and revenue per visitor will rise from both conversion rate and order value.
The plan expected a 15 to 25% RPV lift, with a minimum detectable effect of 14.6%. The idea was backed by 2 competitor patterns and 2 winning tests from our database: prebuilt bundles at +4.9% RPV and upsells placed above add to cart at +5.2 to 18.1% RPV.
Before vs after
Control vs Variant
Control

Clasp offered as a cross-sell below the add to cart button.
Variant

Strap and clasp bundle block above add to cart, with the saving shown.
Images are the design wireframes used to build the control and variant.
What we changed
The change in detail
Moved the Deployant Clasp from below add to cart into a bundle section above it.
Showed the price math: strap $248 plus clasp $87 is $335, bundle price $298, a $37 saving.
The strap is always selected. The clasp is pre-checked but can be unchecked.
Kept a "Just the Strap" add to cart button below the bundle as a fallback.
Clasp size auto-matches the buckle width of the selected strap.
Built as one Liquid section, so it applies to every strap product page automatically.
Results
What the test showed
13,707 visitors, 471 orders and $130,744 in revenue over 21 days across 3 groups. Both variants beat control: Variant 1 converted at 3.70% and Variant 2 at 3.62%, against 2.97% for control. Probability to be best on RPV was 92.7%, a directional win.

Learnings
What we took away
A bundle placed above add to cart beats a cross-sell placed below it.
Clear savings messaging, here $37, motivates the bundle purchase.
A pre-checked clasp with an easy opt-out is the right default. It cuts friction and lifts the attach rate.
A template-based build that auto-matches clasp size scales across every strap product page.
